The Sudbury Elk Restoration Committee originated years ago as an
organization whose mission was to ensure the restoration of elk in our
area. The wide ranging activities of our group have benefited elk and
many other types of wildlife, as well as millions of acres of our
dwindling wildlife habitat.
As the new millennium gets well underway
we are looking farther a field and to broader horizons in our efforts to
support the restoration of this majestic species. It is our aim to
create a world class movement that will shine as an example of what can
be accomplished when people work together.
During the last year SERC has expanded its membership, its activities,
its organizational structure, and its community partnerships. We are now
poised to begin another ten years of growing activity ensuring the
safety of elk habitat, the continuation of the healthy growth of our
local Burwash herd, and to promote greater public and international
awareness of this monumental undertaking.
Our volunteers donate hundreds of hours and dollars of their personal
time and money each year towards our mission, but our continued success
depends on the generosity of donor partners as well. Contact us today and claim
