Sunset Motel and Cottages in Little Current, Manitoulin Island

Right off the top... this place is Nice. Capital "N" intended.

And it's called "Sunset" for a reason. The deepest, brightest, most vibrant sunsets I've experienced in many years have all been here.

Sunset Motel, Little Current, Manitoulin IslandManicured heavily treed grounds, and gleaming, nicely decorated cabins with everything included from stoves, to dishes, to bedding. It's northern, it's rustic, it's a cabin to be sure, but you won't find much "rouging it" here.

Go fishing, sailing, boating, golfing, discover nearby historical ruins, go horseback riding, or sit on your deck soaking up The Island scenery, whatever you decide, you're going to have a great vacation.

A leisurely stroll into Little Current offers you shopping, restaurants, bars, gift shops, the marina, locally made ice cream, and various Island tours.

And this place is year round! Grab a cottage in the winter for a quiet glistening wonderland. Experience Christmas in a whole new way. Go snowmobiling, ice fishing, or just enjoy the snowy silence.

Be here for Haweater weekend if you like crowds, parades-both on land and water, carnivals, and fireworks. The rest of the year it's a get away from it all paradise.

The best part of staying at Sunset... is your host and hostess, Richard and Paulette. Gracious, hospitable, and welcoming, you may arrive a guest, but most of us leave as friends.
