Northern Ontario

Due to the increased use of woodstoves, because of high fuel prices, environmentalists will force the McGuinty government to legislate that every woodstove in Ontario install a catalytic converter. As they cost approximately $250 each, there will be a public outcry.
 

National

Even with the US elections now over, the US economy will be slow to improve. Bush will get elected by two votes, and in typical US style, after numerous hanging chads, recounts, scandals and millions of dollars, the final count is that Bush wins by three votes!
 

Universal/Scientific

Two large internet companies fund and launch a new satellite designed to allow upload and download to the internet from any home computer. All a person will need is a home satellite dish and inexpensive software. This will lead to some countries not being able to control internet access any more. Will China ban satellite dishes next?
