Juice Fasting and Master Cleanser
Juice fasting and master cleanser fasts are two ways to do a spring
cleanse that is simple and cheap!
Juice fasting simply involves making juices in a juicer or in a blender
as a smoothie without eating any solid food. You can use berries,
melons, oranges, apples, carrots, beets, greens, pineapple, mango or any
other fruit you enjoy. Drink 6 to 12 fresh raw 8-oz juices daily to
cleanse and tonify the digestive organs to prevent disease and to treat
series diseases such as skin conditions and ever cancer. Do this for 4-8
days or more to get great results.
The master cleanser fast is specifically outlined in detail in a booklet
called The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs – a booklet easily found
in most health food stores. Stanley Burroughs firmly believed in
cleansing as a basic lifestyle staple for the elimination of every kind
of disease. He recognized that the basic cause of disease is the
combination of habits of improper diet, inadequate exercise, negative
attitudes, and lack of spiritual attunement, which leads to a toxic,
imbalanced system. The only way to eliminate disease, then, is to
improve diet, increase the intensity and type of exercise, choosing a
positive mental attitude in the face of adversity, and by aligning
yourself spiritually to your Creator.
The master cleanser helps with all these areas by stripping away toxic
waste from the body and clearing the mind of organic clutter so that you
can achieve mental clarity and a lightness of step.
To make the master cleanser drink, combine the following:
2 tablespoons of lemon or lime juice (approximately ˝ a lemon,
preferably organic)
2 tablespoons of real maple syrup
1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (also known as a dash)
10oz of spring or purified water, preferably warm but can be taken cold
The master cleanser works because you do not require food on this
cleanse and it gives the organs time to rest and repair. The maple syrup
provides the necessary minerals of sodium, potassium, calcium,
magnesium, manganese, iron, copper, phosphorous, sulfur, and silicon and
the vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6, and vitamin C. The lemon juices helps to
cleanse the liver and gallbladder and the cayenne pepper improves
circulation and assists in removing mucous from the intestines.
For most people this master cleanser drink is easily do-able for 1 to 4
days. Some people have done it fairly easily for 12 to 21 days and an
exceptional few have done it for 40 days to prevent and treat disease.
This cleanse is for vigorous people in generally good health and is not
appropriate for diabetics or teenagers who just want to lose weight.
If you intend to do the cleanse for more than 4 days, I suggest you pick
up the inexpensive little booklet. It goes into detail and includes
laxative teas and salt-water colon cleansing which improve the success
of the treatment.
