Gerson Therapy part ll
Hi folks! As promised
I'm back to share with you my excitement and knowledge during
my week-long course on Gerson Therapy which I took through the
Gerson Institute in San Diego, California.
The course
was actually held right at the Baja Nutri Care Clinic in Tijuana,
Mexico, a small but beautiful 11-bed in-patient facility located
two blocks from the ocean.
Eleven doctors
and health care practitioners from all around the world took
this course. There were practitioners from Germany, Italy, Korea,
South Africa, Australia, the UK, the United States, and I represented
Canada. What a thrill! The culmination of these incredible minds
meeting to study Gerson Therapy for the treatment of cancer
and chronic disease was amazingly synergistic.
We began
with a small group of five students who had trickled in from
their respective countries. During an informal lunch at a restaurant
near our motel, Hacienda Del Mar, we shared our experiences
and respective therapies. Although we all had different disciplines,
we all had one thing in common: we all wanted to learn the nutrition
and detoxification techniques of Gerson Therapy so that we could
help our patients to have a greater opportunity to heal. What
an incredible bunch of caring people. I was so grateful to be
among them..
Every morning
we took our 20-minute walk down the beach to the clinic where
we had the typical Gerson breakfast: oatmeal with stewed prunes,
raisins, and apricots, and of course, freshly squeezed organic
orange juice. Some people were allowed a piece of rye toast.
Our course
went from 8 am to 6 pm daily with Gerson lunch and supper included.
These meals consisted of Hippocrates vegetable soup, two hot
vegetables, salad, baked potato with non-fat yogurt, fruit,
and an apple carrot juice. I was impressed that we could all
study and learn the whole day without an energy slump on a totally
vegetarian diet. I didn't think it was possible. But then again,
there's Charlotte Gerson, 81 years old and spry, and she has
eaten this way most of her life.
Our course
began with an introduction and history by Charlotte Gerson,
who detailed her father's life and incredible healing results
shared by patients through some of his publications.
Dr.Melendez
and Dr. Bravo, along with a few other medical doctors outlined
the basics of nutrition, detoxification with coffee enemas,
supplements and medications, as well as blood and urine tests
required to monitor the patient. It really takes a whole team
of practitioners in an in-patient setting to accomplish the
healing of one person in severe condition. We also learned practical
skill such as how to cook the various foods and prepare the
juices. We did the coffee enemas and hydrotherapy on ourselves,
and one student tried all the supplements. The goal was to get
an idea of the patient's experience as well as learn the therapies
and techniques. It was very hands on - very thorough and complete.
After one
week we returned to our respective countries to implement Gerson
Therapy worldwide. The only difficulty is that we must have
an in-patient clinic setting to accomplish the whole therapy.
We discovered that the therapy doesn't work well if you do only
parts of it.
In the meantime,
I am continuing to practice parts of Gerson Therapy to help
some people to get greater results and to improve my clinical
skills until I can find a clinic locally.
Next time
I will go back to the original outline and explain the basics
of how the body works. Knowledge and truth will empower you
and give you the ability to make good decisions in the management
of your body.
Until then,
have a great day and God bless.
