some of the best fishing around, anglers have reported catching
upwards to 100 walleye in one day, a northern pike measuring over 3
feet and numerous lake trout weighing in over the 20 pound mark.
The
region’s outfitters maintain outstanding outpost camps with
first-rate equipment. Many
outdoorsmen use
Savant
Lake
as a take off point for
their fly-in fishing/hunting trips.
