Baladi Belly
Dance and Roma Gypsy Dance in the Greater Sudbury, Ontario
Lucie De La Fontaine and the National Baladi School
In 2000 Lucie De La Fontaine opened the National Baladi
School in Greater Sudbury and brought this amazing form of dance to cheer our northern winters.
Lucie De La Fontaine worked 14 years as a professional dancer,
instructor, and choreographer in Quebec before moving to Northern
Ontario.
Lucie De La Fontaine is somewhat reserved but watching her warm up a class one can't help but
think “she has music in her soul.”

Several of Lucie's students
have gone on to become our country’s best performers and instructors themselves.
