Dear Friend,
As you are probably aware by now, I am presenting myself as a candidate
for Councillor in Ward 6 in the upcoming municipal election on November
10th.
With 30 years of behind-the-scenes political experience, as a
businessperson and a community worker, I am confident that I can effect
change at the municipal level. Like you, I believe that Sudbury can be
an even more exciting and vibrant community. For more detailed
information on my views of the issues, visit other portions of this
site.
It will take action-oriented, dedicated and creative people with a
vision at the council table and I would like to ask for your support in
helping me to get there.
Campaigns, even at the municipal level, require a lot of work, but "many
hands make light work".
There are many ways that you can make a contribution to my campaign. You
can:
1. Volunteer to canvass one poll - this should not exceed 2 volunteer
hours
2. Place a sign on your lawn if you live in Ward 6
3. Ask neighbours to place a sign on their lawns if you live in Ward 6
4. Work on election day, driving voters to the polls
5. Call 20 people you know in Ward 6 to ask for their support
6. Create a "buzz"
7. Make a goods or service contribution
8. Make a financial contribution - campaigns can be expensive!
9. Be a part of our Blitz Team (door-to-door and telephone canvas)
10. Host a “meet the Candidate” coffee party
11. And most importantly, have a say in your city by voting on November
10, 2003
