The
Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society
The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society is
a charitable organization founded in 1996. It's goal is to assist
in the adopting, locating and providing of safe, peaceful homes
for retired and non-racing Standardbreds. The Society helps to educate
and assist in the retraining and management of these horses. They
take the time to match the desires and abilities of the adoptive
families to the temperament and capacities of the horses. They also
provide continued volunteer guardianship over these horses. The
OSAS have had many successful adoptions into non-racing homes across
the province. Their horses are used for a variety of disciplines,
including Therapeutic and Trail Riding.
The TTRA would like to thank the Standardbred
Adoption Society for providing therapy horses for our programs.
