Open House: October 2nd 2005

On Sunday October 2nd Wild at Heart held its 1st annual open house. The weather was better than we could have hoped for and was at least partly responsible for the excellent turnout (estimated at 700-100 people!).

The open house featured a barbeque, yard sale, children’s activities, wildlife art and informative displays. Funds raised from the barbeque, yard sale and wildlife art will be put towards the construction of our new facility in 2006.

Thanks go out to:
• The Investor’s Group for providing the barbeque and tents
• The Sixth Avenue Golf Course for providing the food for the barbeque
• The MNR, PetSave, OSPCA and the Northern Environmental Heritage Institute for providing informative displays.
• Paul Smith and Cheryl Batistelli for displaying their wildlife art
• Our many volunteers who put hours upon hours of hard work into making this day a huge success!!
