What is Wild At Heart?

What is Wild At Heart?

Wild At Heart is a wildlife refuge centre established over 20 years ago in affiliation with the Walden Animal Hospital.

The centre provides emergency care, surgical intervention, ongoing treatment, and rehabilitation for numerous local wildlife species.

The focus of the centre is to provide the opportunity for the reintroduction of injured or orphaned animals back into their natural habitat.

Early in 2004, Wild At Heart received government recognition as a charitable organization and is working to obtain funding to build a flight cage which will allow a more complete environment for recovering birds before their release back into the wild.

Wild At Heart is constantly looking for dedicated volunteers who are willing to help with various aspects of the centre's operations. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at (705) 692- 4478.
