Welcome to the online home of Zig's, Northern Ontario's only gay, lesbian, bisexual bar. Opened in the summer of 1997 by Gilles Gervais and JP Pelletier, Zig's was the only gay-owned and operated bar in Sudbury. It has since become the only successful gay bar in all of Northern Ontario, and a huge support to the gay, lesbian and bisexual communities in the area.

In their 8 years of business, Zig's has raised approximately $10,000 in various fundraisers for the gay community, as well as sponsoring a women's hockey league with a number of teams throughout Northern Ontario. Zig's has become as an incredible asset to everyone in our community, being a place where anyone, regardless of age, sexuality, gender, race, or religion, can go to feel comfortable and have a great time.

Zig's offers a large space, with lots of sitting room, a great dance floor, pool tables, a pinball machine and a well-stocked bar.  They play mostly upbeat dance music, with just a few slow songs here and there, although on Karaoke night you're likely to hear a very broad range of music. Fridays and Saturdays showcase DJ K-Ottik.
